CACTUS

Models and Methods for the Evaluation and the Optimal Application of Battery Charging and Switching Technologies for Electric Busses

CACTUS

In the project CACTUS, models and methods for battery charging and battery technologies are being developed. In particular evaluation methods to optimise the application of batteries for electric buses of public transport companies are of special interest here. Challenges such as charging processes, scheduling, operational expanses and costs of these new technologies applied on current transportation services will be considered. In order to evaluate and minimise future costs of infrastructure systems and new vehicles, appropriate control strategies will be applied on different models and methods. These strategies shall lead to optimising driving and loading operations which will be researched, developed and evaluated.
