Test enables confidence
As a device manufacturer you can demonstrate the high quality of your product to your clients by means of a PROFIBUS certificate! The market success of a product strongly depends on its proven qualitative characteristics. The full interoperability of a device equipped with a PROFIBUS interface can be reached most rapidly, when tests based on approved test specifications become part of the quality management for the device development. An essential component of such a quality system are certification tests by an independent accredited test laboratory of PROFIBUS International.
ifak has been running an accredited PROFIBUS test laboratory since 1998. In this role interoperability tests for PROFIBUS DP Slaves and PROFIBUS PA Slaves are offered. The test results are the prerequisite for granting PROFIBUS certificates.
The PI Testlab at ifak is now available to test the PROFIsafe profile for PROFIBUS slaves and PROFINET devices. The testlab audit by the German notified body TÜV, which is necessary for safety relevant tests, and the audit for PROFIsafe by PI were successfully carried out. As a result ifak is continuing its close co-operation with device manufacturers worldwide. Therefore the ifak testlab aims to use its 10 years of experience in PI certification testing towards the scope of PROFIsafe.
For reducing the cost and time of the test, ifak offers the test system PROTest including test case libraries to execute inhouse tests at the manufacturer’s site in advance. Take benefit from the detailed technical know-how and the wide experience of our testlab staff. Since 2004 the ifak PROFIBUS testlab offers you the possibility to arrange short term dates for interoperability tests, which allows a rapid launch of your certified device onto the market.
