PROFIsafe Host Test Tool
The PROFIsafe host test shall be an additional test of the existing PROFIsafe slave test. It will be obligatory for certified Master/IO controllers. For such a test, a specific test tool is necessary which was developed inside this project. The intended organisational procedure of the PROFIsafe host test is equivalent to the PROFIsafe slave test. The complete certification of a safety relevant product is based on the PROFIsafe host test of the PROFIBUS Master/PROFINET IO controller. The successful passing of this test is an absolute requirement for the final acceptance at TÜV or BIA.
