The project objective is the development of innovative wireless technologies for industrial wireless communication systems. These technologies shall be the foundation for new functionalities and characteristics required by future concepts of production processes labeled with Industry 4.0. This includes ultra-low latency, high reliability and secure wireless communications. e.g. for real-time closed-loop applications.
The key topic of ifaks research work is the transformation of dynamically changing real-time communication requirements of future production processes onto adaptive algorithms of novel wireless technologies. Application scenarios will be prepared methodically and the requirements profiles will be derived out of this. Based on this, validation concepts will be developed that will be used for as a foundation of simulative and metrologicalmeasurement relevant analyses. With the help of a validation platform the performance of implementations will be researched, investigated and valued assessed in an application-oriented and technology-independent manner. These results of the analyses will serve as foundation to develop skills capability profiles for the classification assignment of the developed wireless technologies researched results to the specified requirements profiles.
