In the research project MOSAIQUE and within the initiative “Applied traffic and transport sciences/ Galileo-Transport of the German federal state Saxony-Anhalt”, innovative approaches for a regional traffic management have been developed and tested successfully in the area Halle-Leipzig. These approaches will now be implemented in the long run across the state of Saxony-Anhalt. As the first step, the state wide traffic condition information system was established based on real time traffic data and dynamic traffic models. The institute ifak integrated the established road work information system SPERR-Info into the road traffic condition information system. As a result of the project, the traffic authorities of the state and the city of Magdeburg as institutional users were equipped with visualisation software to access the traffic condition information.
