This project aimed to broaden the scope of wireless technologies. As a result, a new method for the controller design was demonstrated, taking into account the time and failure behaviour of industrial wireless solutions in the controlled system. This required on the one hand, the investigation, classification and mathematical description of the time and error behaviour of wireless communication systems and on the other hand the development of a procedure which considered variable transmission times and package loss and allowed the development of error-tolerant regulations. The applicability of the solution has been exemplary approved by a control application of an inverse pendulum. Angle and position of the pendulum are transmitted via a wireless connection.
