On October 6 and 7, 2025, the partners of the TwinMaP research project met in Stuttgart. The current status of work on digital twins, which are intended to enable the complete machining and assembly of components in a heterogeneous machine park as well as efficient, 3D-based employee assistance, was discussed .
The meeting provided a forum for status updates, workshops, and an intensive exchange on current best practices. One focus is on the use of the Asset Administration Shell and the integration of digital twins into heterogeneous production environments. The project partners took the opportunity to present successful interim results and plan the next steps for industrial implementation. These include the further development of 3D-based employee assistance and production optimization, as well as the definition of the final tasks to achieve the milestones for the digital machine park.
