The ifak develops intelligent assistance systems to support people with impaired mobility in order to maintain their independence even outside of their home into old age.

The thematic field focuses on the design of systems for a secure and intuitive knowledge management of diverse personal, vital and operational data. In order to ensure a consistent exchange of data between all actors involved, the interoperability and standardization of applications, data models and data structures are considered. The activities focus on ease of use, data security and data protection.
