The long-term monitoring of vital parameters is an essential demand in healthcare. The aim of the joint project "MiniE" is the development of a sensor system - with negligible disturbance to the patient – that features the mobile acquisition of cardiological and physiological data during inpatient treatment and in the home environment.
The focus is on the electronic design, development and prototypical implementation of reusable and fully encapsulated sensor units in conjunction with an expert system (artificial intelligence) for behavior-based energy and data management.
In close regional cooperation with the company StatConsult, a novel system of distributed mini-sensors is to be developed, which will provide data on cardiological function as well as patient activities and offer seamless care in the assisted environment.
