Zusammenfassung:

This paper describe a novel simulation platform for waste water systems, especially waste water treatment plants (WWTP), with is especially suited to include control options into the simulation studies. In addition, special emphasis was put into a very user friendly modelling and simulation environment to allow also inexperienced users to use WWTP and control simulation. A special version of this novel software aims at teaching and education for waste water systems and control. To implement control options into simulation models, a growing block library is developed by the authors but is also expected to be developed by future users of the platform. This paper describes simple function block based control modelling, a Petri net based approach to describe sequential control for e.g. SBRs and one example for an advanced non-linear model based predictive controller (MBPC).
