ifak technology + service GmbH is a spin-off and cooperation partner of the research institute ifak e.V. and started its business activities in 2017. With its headquarters in Karlsruhe, the ifak association of institute and company is now represented both in Central Germany and in Southern Germany. ifak technology + service GmbH offers its customers products, technical solutions and services for hardware and software in automation, information and communication technology. Thorsis Technologies GmbH (formerly ifak system GmbH)
For the fifth anniversary of the ifak, the ifak system GmbH was founded in addition to the non-profit institute. In order to actively transfer technology beyond research, products and services were added to the portfolio. For 20 years, ifak e.V. actively accompanied the spin-off company as a co-partner. The 25th anniversary of the association, which was celebrated in 2016, was taken as an opportunity to release the successfully developed company from its corporate independence from the institute.
