ifak operates a test laboratory audited by PROFIBUS & PROFINET International since 1998. This offers device tests for PROFINET RT/IRT/PA, PROFIBUS DP/PA and PROFIsafe. In addition, FDI Package Test and Ethernet APL Conformance Tests are offered.  The test results are the pre-requisite for granting PI certificates.

As a device manufacturer you can demonstrate the high quality of your product to your clients by means of a PROFINET and PROFIBUS certificate respect­tively! The market success of a product strongly depends on its proven qualitative characteristics. The full interoperability of a device equipped with a PROFINET and PROFIBUS interface can be reached most rapidly, when tests based on approved test spe­cifications become part of the quality management for the device development. An essential component of such a quality system is certification testing by an independent authorized PI test laboratory.

ifak PI test laboratory is a Contract Partner Laboratory of TÜV SÜD Rail for the PROFIsafe Device Test and undergos  corresponding laboratory audits.
