The intention of the coordinating research project BZKI is to deal with superior questions of reliable wireless communication in industry. In this process, the different research projects of the program will be analysed and coordinated in the general context of the funding program. In addition to cross-sectional topics central innovation potentials will be identified and processed comprehensively. The Federal German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will be supported by the project partners of the coordinating research project. Furthermore, the project partners support the research projects with their innovation efforts. One of the main aims of ifak is to establish a close collaboration between automation (new requirements) and wireless communication (new possibilities). The key topics of ifak are to consider the results of the research projects in for the development of a uniform information model of the industrial wireless communication, and to evaluate the performance of wireless communication solutions with respect to industrial application requirements.
