The aim of this research project is to prepare the contribution, presentation and representation of a reference model for development of device and system functions for an application-oriented automatic management of industrial wireless applications. Results of different research projects shall be prepared and introduced into the standards ETSI ERM TG 41 "Wireless Industrial Applications" as well as IEC/SC65C WG 17 "Wireless Coexistence". The reference model shall be the basis for a uniform framework for R&D projects of this area. The whole life cycle of a wireless application shall be considered. This concerns the draft, development and production of wireless applications as well as planning, installation, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of wireless applications. A significant contribution for connection within the production and for digitalization of management processes (here for communication infrastructure) according to Industrie 4.0 will be made. Examples for such processes are the commissioning of production plants with wireless communication or the coexistence management. The reference model shall be applicable to all frequency ranges.
