SOCRADES
SOCRADES was a project sponsored by the European Commission within the 6th Framework Programme, which was based on the co-operation of French, German, Finish, Swedish, English and Italian partners. It targeted the investigation of service-based protocols, such as DPWS and OPC UA, and the development of automation strategies for networked embedded devices. The research work concentrated on the application and engineering of service-oriented automation infrastructures, industrial wireless communication within the field area and its integration into those architectures as well as the integration into management level applications.
