The aim of the fast traffic project was the research, development and demonstration of the technology basis for a real-time capable networking of vehicles with each other and with the infrastructure. In order to achieve the low end-to-end latency required for this, all components involved must be optimized with regard to time delay. In order to ensure the success of the overall fast traffic project, the "fast traffic eval" subproject had two main focuses. The first involved connecting mobile road users and their traffic data to existing intelligent traffic infrastructure and central data platforms, using the example of the mobility data marketplace Germany (MDM). The second was the development of real-time test systems for highly distributed V2X applications. This should especially enable the assurance of the time behaviour via extensive testing.
