"Productive 4.0" is one of the largest European research projects on the area of Industrie 4.0. Infineon Technologies AG coordinates the consortium with more than 100 partner companies from 19 European countries. They all work on the topics of digitalization and interconnection of industrial enterprises.The main goal of the project is to increase the flexibility in development and production by using information exchange in real-time along the whole supply and production chain. Thus the time to market will be reduced. Institute ifak is contributing to the specification and development of the necessary communication and infrastructure platform. ifak will develop components to formally describe production equipment and to generate firmware source code from those formal descriptions.
