The aim of the project "IMF Control 4.0" is the development of a practical ultrasonic method (real-time system) for the determination and classification of the marbling degree of certain (gourmet) muscle parts on cattle in the different production stages for the objective evaluation of meat quality.
The R&D project aims to develop a novel mobile automated ultrasonic measurement system and an associated method for meat quality evaluation ("IMF Control 4.0"), which is automatically evaluated by artificial intelligence (AI).
Scientists of the ifak are working on a method to quantify the homogeneity of scattering (typically perceived as noise) from the ultrasonic data.
