Gaia-X 4 AMS

Advanced Mobility Services

Gaia-X 4 AMS

Innovative and forward-looking vehicle and mobility technologies, especially automation and networking, are highly dependent on secure, reliable and flexible data and service structures. Safety-critical systems in particular place high demands on the sovereignty, availability and real-time capability of the underlying digital infrastructure. For this reason, the development of a comprehensive system that meets these requirements at all times is critical for the introduction of new, digital mobility concepts. The aim of the Gaia-X 4 AMS project is to implement innovative, safety-critical mobility applications based on the Gaia-X data and services ecosystem. The aim is to show which components need to be established and expanded in Gaia-X in order to technologically link previously separate traffic domains. The focus is on the networking and cooperation of automated vehicles with the surrounding overall traffic system. The networking of various relevant actors and the development of a secure and sovereign data system are intended to increase road safety as well as the efficiency and transparency of the traffic system. The Gaia-X 4 Advanced Mobility Services (AMS) project belongs to the "Gaia-X 4 Future Mobility" project family, whereby the developments are primarily oriented towards two use cases. The use case "Safe coordination of automated vehicles" focuses on the coordination of specific operational areas of automated vehicles (Operational Design Domain, ODD). The use case "Networked and safe rescue corridor" uses the results of the first use case for the intelligent networking and coordination of vehicles and infrastructure using the example of rescue mobility.
