Supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), ifak organised and convened a German-Colombian workshop on urban drainage. With over 30 participants from different universities across Colombia, practiticioners from water companies and public administration, this workshop discussed and identfied research needs in urban drainage and sustainable urban drainage systems. Research and practice in Colombia has ample experience with flash-flood rain events, a topic which in Germany only recently attracts deeper attention. In platform presentations and group discussions, current research and practice and future cooperations were discussed.
