Intensive project exchange with Japanese partners

From 22 April 2024 to 25 April 2024, the international project meeting of the EmKoI4.0 project took place in Tokyo, this time with the Japanese partners. After an intensive exchange on the current state of research, ifak carried out experiments in the laboratories of Tohoku University. The radio transfer tester (FTT) was used to analyse the performance of a 5G network in Japan.  

On the German side, the project is led by ifak and Demag Cranes & Components GmbH, Thorsis Technologies GmbH and the Technical University of Dresden are the project partners. On the Japanese side, the project is being led by the Japan National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). Other partners are the NEC Corporation and Tohoku University.

The EmKoI4.0 project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
