ETFA Conference in Porto

From September 9 to 12, the 30th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA) took place in Porto, Portugal. Every year, this conference brings together the international community of experts from industry, research, and development to present and discuss the latest innovations and technologies in the field of industrial and factory automation.

We were represented by our research associate Niklas Ritz, who presented a paper titled “Towards an AAS Event Mechanism: A proposal to extend the AAS specification.” This paper was developed as part of the VWS4LS (administration shell for the line set) project. Together with our project partners ARENA2036 and Fraunhofer IESE, we focused on the further development of the eventing mechanism in the administration shell in the context of line set production.
