ifak presented two projects at "Digital Green Tech" Conference

At the "Digital Green Tech" conference organised by the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) in Karlsruhe on 17/18 October 2023, ifak was represented with two projects. At this conference, more than two dozen projects funded by the BMBF as part of the "Digital Green Tech" funding measure presented their work. Prof. Tobias Morck (University of Kassel) reported on the project "Decoding Micro Pollutants - DecS", in which Hana Al-Asad from ifak is carrying out central work on modelling the degradation of trace substances and drug residues in sewage treatment plants. The coordinator of the i-SEWER project, Phillip Grimm (Grimm Water Solutions) reported on the application of AI methods for learning surrogate models for sewer network controls. Dr Manfred Schütze from ifak contributes expertise and simulation tools for sewer network modelling and model predictive sewer network control to this project.
