Also 2016 sees ifak's active involvement with North America's annual congress of the Water Environment Federation (WEFTEC): Together with ifak's partner, the Canadian-based company inCTRL Solutions Inc., Dr Alex, Head of the "Water and Energy" department of ifak, is hosting a workshop on energy costs for wastewater treatment plants. Participants in this interactive workshop optimise operation of wastewater treatment plants with regard to various energy tariff systems on the market. ifak's simulator Simba# proves again to be an efficient tool for energy analyses for wastewater systems.Furthermore, Dr Alex contributes with two oral presentations on the topic of aeration control to this event of upmost importance on the American continent.
