Explore Science is all about active experimentation and discovering scientific phenomena. There were many interesting stands, including the STEM library of the Magdeburg City Library and the VDI Magdeburg District Association, in which ifak was allowed to participate.
For three days, our tent was transformed into a meeting place for curious children who built bridges using a maximum of 15 sheets of paper and put their constructions to the test. Each bridge was tested with sandbags and small toy cars. The joy of successful stress tests was great.
Children of all ages contributed different construction approaches, developed stable structures, and learned a lot about physics and creativity. Our young participants showed impressive skill, and the strongest paper bridges were awarded the title “Magdeburg's young bridge builders”.
Explore Science in Magdeburg awakened the spirit of discovery and showed how exciting science can be when children get actively involved.
