Next week, ifak will welcome a visiting professor from Colombia. Prof. Gaona García will give a guest presentation on the application of artificial intelligence methods to determine the potential of renewable energies in rural regions of Colombia. The methods are used in a decision support tool that can provide predictions of energy production.
Prof. Gaona García heads the telecommunications research group at the Universidad Distrital in Bogotá, focusing on spectral analysis, microwaves, network optimization, wireless sensors/Internet of Things. The research institute ifak has scientific links with this university for many years, which is why we are delighted to welcome him as a guest at ifak.
