The treatment of drinking water is a complex, multi-stage process. In contrast to wastewater treatment, very few software systems are available to simulate the treatment of drinking water. The goal of this project is to create models in the simulation tool SIMBA that simulates the different stages of water treatment. This model will predict the changes of the different water qualities and parameters under different environmental conditions, water mixing, addition of certain chemicals or change of operating conditions of a treatment plant. The simulation model will include the major treatment stages typically used in drinking water treatment. The following features are provided:
- Compatible with DIN 38404-10:2012-12.
- Flow sheet based modeling
- Import functions for the use of international water chemistry databases (Phreeqc)
