From 27 to 29 June 2023, the annual networking event of the German 6G programme took place at the Berlin Congress Center (bcc). ifak supported the preparation and implementation of the event as part of the 6G Platform research project. Dr Lisa Underberg organised a session on this topic in her capacity as head of the Innovation Management working group.
About 700 participants discussed visions, important trends and technologies of future radio communication technologies. Reports were given on the work and results of 6G research in Germany and the EU. The event offered participants not only a comprehensive overview, but also the opportunity to network with peers.
Topics included the use of the radio spectrum, the effect of electromagnetic radiation on humans, data protection and privacy, the application of artificial intelligence and sustainability. The ifak pays particular attention to the specific requirements and conditions of the application of future radio communication technologies in industrial automation and in the automation of water management.
