Dr Manfred Schütze participates as member of the official German governmental delegation at UN conference "Habitat III"

From 17 to 20 October, Dr Schütze, as a member of the delegation of the German government, will present the manifold activities of ifak in the field of integrated planning systems at the UN Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development ("Habitat III") in Quito/Ecuador.
About 30000 participants are expected at this conference; "Habitat III" also is of high political relevance as the New Urban Agenda of the United Nations will be presented and discussed.

In five events, Dr. Schütze will report of ifak's recent work on development and application of urban infrastructure modes in participatory decision processes; in particular the BMBF-funded projects "LiWa - Lima Water" and "Rapid Planning" will be highlighted. Through their work on model development and application of urban models, the simulation experts contribute to sustainable urban development and to the implementation of the New Urban Agenda of the United Nations.
