ifak gives lecture at the ICECET in Cape Town, South Africa

The ICECET 2023 ("International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Energy Technologies") took place over two days, from 16 to 17 November 2023. The first day consisted of a very diverse range of presentations. The keynote speaker was Dr Joyce Mwangama, who gave an insight into digital healthcare in Africa based on IoT technologies such as 5G. The rest of the day was divided into three parallel sessions, each grouped by similar topics. These topics ranged from AI, communications, cybersecurity, energy, machine learning, smart grids and IoT. Ms Stolze and Mr Barnard from ifak presented a paper that looked at digital twins, asset administration shells and the use of datagram communication in this context. This was followed by a discussion and lively exchange with colleagues from other organisations and countries. The second day was an online-only event with five parallel sessions with an even wider range of presentations. The successful mix of cutting-edge discussions, fruitful interactions and the stunning venue made this conference an outstanding success that left a lasting impression on all participants.
