The 28th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) took place in Los Angeles from 18-22 September 2022. The congresses, which alternate between Europe, Asia and America, bring together 6,000-8,000 experts from science and industry in the fields of mobility, automation and communication in transport as well as digital infrastructure for a professional exchange every year. The exhibition accompanying the congress provides a well-founded insight into the current and worldwide state of the art in this far-reaching field.
Since 1996, the Business Field Transport and Assistance has regularly contributed a large number of scientific papers and exhibits to the ITS World Congresses. This year's contribution "Real-time data for roadworks safety management with IOT-connected sensor barricade lights" by colleagues Olaf Czogalla, René Schönrock, Joachim Schade and Mansour Abboud presented the work from the development to the application of intelligently networked warning lights for efficient roadworks management under real operating conditions.
