Project meeting of the consortium partners in the SMueR project

On 18/7/2023, a consortium meeting of the "Smart Mobility Station for Rural Areas - SMueR" project funded by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport as part of mFUND was held in Eisleben, at which the project partners:

- Lutherstadt Eisleben
- Landkreis Mansfelder Land-Südharz
- Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg
- Institut für Automation und Kommunikation e.V.
- Verkehrsgesellschaft Südharz mbH
- Höfer Metall Technik GmbH
- Wolf Energy GmbH
- Vesputi GmbH
- isicargo
- tarakos GmbH
- Standortmarketing Mansfeld-Südharz GmbH

presented the current status of the project and coordinated the necessary steps for a successful progress of the project. Within the framework of the project, a modular planning and design concept for smart mobility stations is being developed.

With the help of smart mobility stations, travellers will be able to receive dynamic passenger information about public transport to destinations in the vicinity, as well as information about the availability of parking spaces for cars, bicycles and, for example, charging stations for e-bikes or e-cars.

The prototype of a smart mobility station is to be set up and tested at a location in Lutherstadt Eisleben. The findings from the funding project should lead to the establishment of further stations in the rural regions of the district and thus expand the project in the next few years within the structural change. Olaf Czogalla and Dr Alexander Kaiser from ifak took part and presented the current status of the data processing hardware and software components of the mobility station.
