As one of the international guest speakers, Dr Schütze was invited to the Slovene Water Days, held on 24./25. May. His keynote lecture on integrated modelling of sewer systems, wastewater treament plants and river water quality found great interests. Also additional topics, such as the use of methods of Artificial Intelligence within the i-SEWER research project, were covered. An additional hands-on simulation workshop enabled the participants to simulate and to discuss some aspects in greater detail. Topics addressed included, among others, also the model-based optimisation of wastewater treatment plant operation and the application of sustainable concepts of rainwater management.
